Allegheny County reports 105 new coronavirus cases

Allegheny County on Thursday reported 105 new cases of covid-19, bringing the total to 10,549 cases.

The total reported cases in the county is now 10,549 with 10,211 of those confirmed and 338 probable.

The county reported one new death from Sept. 2 for a total of 344. That patient was in their 70s and associated with a long-term care facility.

The 105 new cases are the highest total since Aug. 13 when 114 cases were reported.

The new coronavirus cases range in age from 1 month to 92 years with a median age of 29. Positive tests were collected from Aug. 25 to Sept. 2.

Allegheny County currently has 69 covid-19 patients hospitalized and 14 using ventilators. A total of 999 cases have required hospitalization and 267 were admitted to intensive care units. The total number of patients requiring ventilators in the county since March 14 is 102.

There have been 150,575 people who have tested negative for the virus.
