Allegheny County reports no new covid-19 deaths for 4th day

Allegheny County reported 74 new covid-19 cases Tuesday.

There were seven new hospitalizations and no new coronavirus-related deaths reported.

Total cases in the county are now 13,436. Total hospitalizations are now 1,293 and the death toll remains at 397.

There has not been a new covid-related death reported in Allegheny County since Oct. 9, when four were announced. The last time there were no new deaths reported for four days was Sept. 26-29.

The new covid-19 cases range in age from 14 to 91, with a median age of 35. Dates of positive tests ranged from Oct. 7 – 12. Of Tuesday’s new cases, 57 are confirmed from 1,301 PCR tests. In the 17 probable cases, eight are from positive antigen tests.

In the county, there are currently 88 covid-19 patients hospitalized, with 13 on ventilators. Allegheny County Health Department estimates 9,622 covid-19 cases have recovered.
