Man shot in Homestead

A man was reported in critical condition in an area hospital after being shot multiple times early Sunday morning in Homestead, Allegheny County Police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the 1100 block of Sylvan Avenue, police said. Allegheny County 911 received a report of the shooting at about 2:20 a.m.

Allegheny County detectives are conducting an investigation into the shooting.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
