Anthology of McCandless senior living community hosted a cornhole tournament June 21 to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Twenty-four teams competed and raised more than $1,200 for Alzheimer’s research.
June 21 is the day of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and each year the Alzheimer’s Association honors the summer solstice, brings awareness to Alzheimer’s disease by acknowledging that for those affected by dementia, time passes differently.
Those attending the tournament also enjoyed local food trucks, jazz music and spending the longest day of the year with friends and loved ones.
