An argument over noise in an apartment building in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill-City View neighborhood lead to a woman threatening a man with a gun, and a man being stabbed in the buttocks, Pittsburgh Public Safety said.

Officers from Pittsburgh Police Zone 1 responded to the 100 block of Rhine Place just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officers found a man suffering from a single stab wound to the buttocks. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the injured man and a woman were arguing with another man in a hallway of their apartment building about noise. It devolved into a fight and continued inside the second man’s apartment, where there was also a child and a second woman.

While in the second couple’s apartment, the first woman produced a firearm and began threatening the second man. The second woman retrieved a knife and stabbed the first man in the buttocks.

The stabbed man and the armed woman fled the apartment. No shots were fired, Pittsburgh Public Safety said.

Officers later arrested the armed woman and took her to the Allegheny County Jail. Her name was not released.

Police were continuing to investigate and more charges are expected, Pittsburgh Public Safety said.
