Arrest warrant issued for Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting Robinson woman
Police have issued an arrest warrant for an Uber driver a woman alleges sexually assaulted her after she was picked up Feb. 8 on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.
Kelli Rini, 33, of McKees Rocks is accused of sexually assaulting the woman on Feb. 8 in her Robinson apartment.
The woman told police she was intoxicated when she ordered an Uber to take her home, but realized she had left her house key in her car on the North Shore when they arrived, the TV station reported.
The police said the victim claims she returned home and went to sleep but was awakened by Rini sexually assaulting her.
The victim told police Rini stopped when she asked him to and he left, according to a police criminal complaint.
Several hours later, the victim told Rini allegedly texted the woman to tell her he had her apartment key and to apologize for the assault.
Police have charged Rini with aggravated sexual assault and indecent assault.
