Northern Tier Regional Library’s main site is located at 4015 Dickey Road, Richland. It also operates a branch at the Pine Community Center, 100 Pine Park Drive.

NORTHERN TIER LIBRARY

Northland Tier Library is located at 4015 Dickey Road in Richland. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and closed Sundays. The library can be reached at 724-449-2665 or northerntierlibrary.org.

The library will close at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, and all day Thursday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Holiday boutique to benefit library

Northern Tier Library’s holiday boutique is underway.

The library is filled with extraordinary trees, innovative gift baskets and unique seasonal finds.

This year’s offerings include tickets to cultural events such as the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, Heinz History Center and Pittsburgh Symphony, as well as gift baskets that feature dogs and cats, Bluey and McCauley Celin Eyecare. There also are gift cards from many local businesses such as Tequila Jalisco, Kat’s Coffeehouse and Walnut Grill.

Bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. Dec. 5 for all of the decorated Christmas trees and wreaths and until 5 p.m. Dec. 11 for all other raffle items.

All proceeds benefit the library.

Musician scheduled to perform Nov. 20

The Friends of Northern Tier Library will welcome musician John Patrick Heiserman for a night of music at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the library.

Doors will open on the library’s lower level at 6:30 p.m., and the show will begin at 7. Light refreshments will be provided.

Heiserman’s sound is timeless, drawing inspiration from the rich musical eras of the 1920s through the 1960s, with a dash of modern influence.

Whether he’s crooning a jazz standard, playing a bluesy original, or charming the crowd with a whistle and a story, he brings heart, humor and humanity to every stage — simply by being his authentic self.

Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per person, and registration is requested.
