Adult winter reading challenge continues through Feb. 28

It’s not too late to join Cabin Fever, Northland Public Library’s winter reading challenge for adults.

For every book read, you’ll have a chance to win a prize. Gift card winners will be chosen during the third full week of February, and a grand-prize drawing will take place at the end.

To register yourself or family members, visit ReadSquared at https://northlandlibrary.readsquared.com.

Book lists by category are available on Readsquared, at the Ask A Librarian desk and on the main Northland Public Library website.

For questions, contact the Ask A Librarian desk at 412-366-8100, ext. 113, or email NorthlandAdults@northlandlibrary.org.

Bookmark contest ends Jan. 31

Children of all ages — adults, too — are invited to create an original design reflecting the winter months and then enter their artwork in Northland’s Winter Bookmark Contest.

Pick up an entry form at the Children & Teen Services or Ask A Librarian desk or download one from the Children & Teen page on the library’s website. The contest runs through Jan. 31.

Two winners will be chosen from each age category: 0 to 5, 6 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18-plus.
