The case of a woman who was shot in 2023 in East Hills and died nearly a year later is being investigated by Pittsburgh police as a homicide, authorities said Friday.

Da’ne Lee, 43, died on April 6, 2024, at UPMC Shadyside. Her cause of death was a blood clot in her lung, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pittsburgh police said Lee was shot just after 10 p.m. on May 15, 2023, in the 2100 block of Park Hill Drive.

No arrests have been made, and no additional information was available, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
