4 Bethel Park graduates going to military academies
Bethel Park High School’s class of 2025 will graduate on June 12.
The ceremony is set for 7 p.m. at Bethel Park High School Stadium. Only guests with tickets may enter from 5:15-6:15 p.m. After that, the general public may enter.
Approximately 313 students will march. Validictorian is Devin Collier and salutatorian is Josh Tierney. The name of the military speaker was not available as of press time on May 21.
“We are very proud that four graduating class members have been accepted to the service academies — Aaron Hofbauer (West Point), Rocco Cappozoli, Brady McKiernan and Clancy Orie (all to the Naval Academy),” said Bethel Park School District spokesman James Cromie. “That is the most for any graduating class in Bethel Park history. Multiple recruiters and officers have now told me that four academy appointees from a single school in the same graduating class is a highly unusual number of academy appointments, and we are very proud of that achievement. Our previous high-water mark was two, and that came in the late 1970s, when Bethel Park’s graduating classes were three times larger than they are now.”
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. June 13 or 10 a.m. June 14.
