Tree lighting and holiday market

Join us for Bethel Park’s annual Tree Lighting celebration, featuring visits with Santa, a whimsical gingerbread neighborhood, holiday activities and our final indoor market of the season for all your seasonal shopping needs! Holiday concert

Community Band South, Bethel Park High School Top 21 and the Handbell Ringers of Southminster Presbyterian will perform from 2:30-4 p.m. Dec. 7 for the Dean Streator Holiday Concert. Attendees are asked to come early as parking is limited at the Bethel Park Community Center. This is a free event.

Schoolhouse Market

The Schoolhouse Market is back at The Schoolhouse Arts & History Center, 2600 South Park Road, for its last market of 2025, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.. Come see local artists and vendors during the event. You can find your last-minute gifts or something special just for you.

Rotary Scholarship

The Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Program is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year to high school seniors in Allegheny and Beaver counties. Vocational students, G.E.D. students and those attending parochial, charter and private schools are also eligible.

Students must have a 2.5 or higher grade point average and must also complete an essay that highlights their community/school service as part of the application submission.

The Gifting Market

South Hills Coin Club

The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Bethel Park municipal building. All members and the general public are invited. This month’s program will be the annual Christmas pizza party. A 50/50 will be offered and children’s prizes to be awarded. Applications are now being accepted for membership. Virtual Holiday Paint & Sip

The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA is hosting its Sixth Annual Virtual Holiday Paint & Sip Celebration to benefit MGA’s free patient support services.

This year’s event will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 11. For a $50 donation to MGA, participants will receive a link to participate in the virtual holiday paint and sip event, the supplies needed to create their own snowflake-inspired art, and two bottles of wine from Kavic Winery in Carnegie. The creation of the art will be led by art therapist Kristy Walter and the wine tasting will be led by Michael and Patricia Kavic.

Myasthenia Gravis is often called the “Snowflake Disease” because it manifests itself differently in every patient.

AUP looking for members

The Association of University People invites singles 50 and over, who are four-year college graduates, to join them for activities and to meet new people.

Activities include happy hour, monthly brunches, lunches and dinners, a book group, day trips, Scrabble, meeting up at local concerts/wineries and the annual festive Holiday party.

Those interested can attend three activities as guests before joining.

South Hills Church of the Nazarene

South Hills Church of the Nazarene, 5601 Library Road, Bethel Park, invites you, your family and friends to join us at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 to experience our annual Christmas program. It is a beautiful traditional musical story that will lead us up to the birth of Jesus.

At 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14, Acting Up Club will present its next musical, “The Great Christmas Give Away.” The performances will be held at South Hills Church of the Nazarene. Bring your family and friends; admission is free; a cookie reception will follow the performances.
