Matthew Goss officially joined the rest of Bradford Woods Council during the borough’s reorganization meeting Jan. 5.

With four open seats in the general election Nov. 4, Goss, a Democrat, received the most votes at 401. He ran uncontested.

He joins Republican incumbents Daniel Dimond, who received 325 votes, David Baldonieri with 276 votes and Victoria Pongrace with 275.

Pongrace was reappointed to her role as council president, and Dimond was elected vice president.

Douglas Marsico returns as mayor with no contenders in the last election.

Goss fills the vacancy left by Kevin Rhule, who chose not to run again. Other council members include Todd Hipwell, Michael Kelly and Christopher Mansfield, all with term limits expiring in 2027, according to Bradford Woods Manager Rusti Null.

District Judge Matthew Brungo performed the swearing-in ceremonies.

A series of appointments to committees also were made at the meeting.

Goss was named to the planning commission; Mansfield to the environmental parks and advisory committee; Dimond as primary and Marsico and Pongrace as alternates for the Northern Regional Police Department Board; Kelly as primary and Pongrace as alternate for the North Hills Council of Governments; Kelly as primary and Marsico as alternate for the Allegheny County Boroughs Association; Hipwell for finance; Dave Baldonieri for roads; and Hipwell as primary and Mansfield as alternate for the police pension committee.

Bradford Woods Council meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the municipal building, 4908 Wexford Run Road.

“The only change to 2026 meeting times is that the Jan. 12 meeting will start at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.,” Null said.
