There were no injures Thursday night when the upper floor of a two-story building in the 1600 block of East Carson Street on Pittsburgh’s South Side partially collapsed, Pittsburgh Public Safety reported.
Public Safety said that no one was in the upper floor at the time of the collapse and there were no injuries to patrons who exited the business on the first floor, the Swirl Penguin, which was celebrating its grand opening, according to a sign on the building storefront.
A firefighter was treated for glass in his eye.
Public Safety reported the incident around 10 p.m. A section of East Carson Street was closed because of the building collapse.
Additional details were not available.
