8 alums inducted into South Fayette's hall of fame

Eight South Fayette Township School District alumni were inducted into the district’s hall of fame this year.

The inductees are Aldo Donnelli, class of 1925; Clem Rolin, 1964; Rich Bonnaure, 1977; Tony Neely, 1978; Josh Willy, 1993; Lauren Uranker, 2004; Michael Lamberti, 2011; and Nick Faraci, 2011.

The hall of fame recognizes alumni who have had success at South Fayette and beyond in the areas of arts, academics and athletics.

An induction ceremony was held Oct. 23.

About the inductees

• Donnelli played soccer for the U.S. National Team. He also, simultaneously, coached football for Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is being inducted posthumously.

• Rolin has led music departments and marching bands for both Montour and South Fayette school districts. Highlights include leading high school bands at Steelers and New York Mets games, parades and on NBC’s “Today Show.” He helped develop the marching band program at Robert Morris University.

• Bonnaure coached high school basketball for more than 30 years and led South Fayette to its first PIAA championship victory in any team sport in 2010. He is the winningest coach in South Fayette boys basketball history.

• Neely was recruited for both football and basketball and attended the University of Arizona, where he tied for the Pac-10 Conference lead in interceptions and return yardage. He is an entrepreneur and has worked in law enforcement including overseeing security for the Phoenix Suns.

• Willy was a class officer, scholar, and three-sport athlete at South Fayette and later worked as a teacher in the Penn Hills School District, earning “Teacher of the Year” recognition. He spent many years coaching youth sports in South Fayette. He is being inducted posthumously.

• Uranker was a scholar and basketball and soccer letterman at South Fayette, and also played basketball collegiately. She is co-head of talent within Goldman Sachs’ Human Capital Management and co-heads their LGBTQ+ Client Engagement pillar.

• Lamberti is South Fayette’s all-time leading boys basketball scorer. He has coached at West Liberty and Coker University, winning championships and titles.

• Faraci was a high honors student at South Fayette, a four-year football starter for the Lions and helped the team earn a WPIAL AA championship. At Robert Morris University, he received athletic and academic accolades and graduated first in his nursing class. He is currently completing a cardiology fellowship at UPMC.
