A Bridgeville summer tradition returns this June.

The borough’s “Day on the Avenue” will be held June 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Washington Avenue, between Hickman Street and Bower Hill Road.

Velveeta, an ‘80s cover band, will provide live music from 3 to 5 p.m. The event also includes a car cruise and vendor booths offering food, games, raffles and other entertainment.

“Last year, the event hosted a record number of craft, food and business vendors,” said Joe Kauer, borough manager. “Plans are underway to make this year’s Day on the Avenue an even bigger event.”

Free activities include mini-golf, bounce houses, face painting and balloon art for children.

To register as a vendor, donate to raffles, volunteer or become a sponsor, call the borough office at 412-221-6012, ext. 6012.

Vendor applications can be found at bridgevilleboro.com.
