Bridgeville incumbent loses seat on council

A Bridgeville Borough councilman lost his bid for re-election Tuesday, and a newcomer will take one of three open seats.

Democrats were big winners, with newcomer Nicholas A Ciesielski receiving 19.47% of the vote, followed by incumbent Nino Petrocelli Sr. with 18.6% and incumbent Joseph M. Colosimo with 18.27%, according to unofficial results from the Allegheny County Elections Division.

Incumbent Michael Tolmer, Republican, came up short with 17.07% of the vote, as did Republicans Jason Ferri with 15.08% and Joel Lakus with 11.38%.
