East Main Street in Carnegie soon will be packed with vendors, musicians and food trucks.

The Carnegie Farmers Market returns July 7 and takes place on East Main Street, from Broadway to Mary streets, said Deneen Underwood, an administrator for the borough.

The market runs every Sunday. Hours in July and August are from noon to 3 p.m. Hours in September are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Underwood said.

The market has 75 vendors, with 45 to 55 participating each week, she said. New this year are cooking demonstrations each week in July.

“We combine our farmers markets with special events such as our annual butterfly festival,” Underwood said. “We have a large variety of products sold by awesome vendors.”

Underwood said the market gives people the opportunity to shop with their favorite vendors and meet new ones. They also can explore new foods, support local farmers and vendors, discover artisans and musicians, and connect with the community.
