Carnegie Primitive Methodist Church Rev. Pastorius retiring
Carnegie Primitive Methodist Church will see a transition in leadership – but the congregation will be familiar with the name – when Rev. Daniel Pastorius retires and his son, Rev. Todd Pastorius, is welcomed as the new pastor.
Rev. Daniel Pastorius will give his farewell sermon at 11 a.m. May 30.
Since 1970, he has served in various capacities throughout the Primitive Methodist Conference. He has officiated at services of dedication for children, weddings, and has also shared times of sorrow saying goodbye to those who have gone before us.
According to a release from the church, Pastor Dan’s son, Rev. Todd Pastorius, has answered the call to be the new pastor.
On June 6, the congregation will welcome Todd Pastorius to lead them in praise, prayer and his sermon at the 11 a.m. service. He was previously the pastor at Pittsburgh Second P. M. Church and also served as the Youth Pastor at Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon and Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Monroeville prior to his service at Victory P.M. Church in Elizabeth.
Carnegie Primitive Methodist Church is located at 640 Dow Ave.
