Charges recently filed in Scott, Carnegie district courts

District court judges in Scott and Carnegie handled these criminal cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in appropriate district courts or the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Judge Jack R. Kobistek, Carnegie

• Steven H. Whitmore, 45, of Pittsburgh on charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. Charges were filed by Crafton police on Nov. 27.

• Lashaun Coleman-Robinson, 25, of Pittsburgh on simple assault. The charge was filed by Carnegie police on Nov. 28.

• Joseph Pancari, of Carnegie on charges of burglary and theft by unlawful taking. Charges were filed by Carnegie police on Nov. 28. Police did not list a date of birth for Pancari.

Judge Craig Stephens, Scott

• Gregory Michael Laughlin, 55, of Pittsburgh on simple assault. The charge was filed by Green Tree police on Nov. 26.

• Douglas Allen Volinsky, 43, of Carnegie on charges of resisting arrest and three counts of aggravated assault. Charges were filed by Heidelberg police on Nov. 28. He was also charged by Heidelberg police on Nov. 30 with assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

• Steven Heslop, 22, of W. Va. on retail theft. The charge was filed by Heidelberg police on Dec. 1.
