Chartiers Center shuffles CFO, CIO positions
Bridgeville-based Chartiers Center, a nonprofit that focuses on mental health, announced leadership transitions this month.
Melissa Leoni was appointed chief financial officer, which allows Lindsay Bahl to focus exclusively on the chief information officer role, according to Chartiers Center. Bahl had previously held both positions since 2014.
Chartiers Center officials say the changes “reflect a strategic investment in the organization’s long-term sustainability and operations.”
Chartiers Center is an organization that provides support to people with behavioral health issues, co-occurring disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Officials said Bahl was instrumental in guiding Chartiers Center’s growth for more than a decade.
“It’s been an honor to serve Chartiers Center in both capacities over the last decade,” Bahl said. “I’m excited to fully focus my efforts on advancing our commitment to innovation through our information and data operations, while collaborating closely with Melissa in her role as CFO.”
Leoni has more than 18 years of experience in financial strategy, reporting and operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management and accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in business administration from Robert Morris University. Most recently, Leoni was chief financial officer and treasurer at Life’sWork of Western PA.
“The work Chartiers Center does to support people in our region is both vital and inspiring,” Leoni said. “I’m proud to join this mission-driven team and to support its continued growth and impact through sound financial stewardship.”
In her role, Leoni will oversee all financial operations and compliance. She’ll play a role in systemwide planning and analysis to support future business opportunities and organizational sustainability, officials said.
“We are thrilled to welcome Melissa to our leadership team,” said Susan Coyle, CEO of Chartiers Center. “Her expertise, strategic mindset and commitment to mission-based work make her a valuable addition as we continue to grow and evolve.”
