Jill Sodini

South Fayette resident Jill Sodini specializes in helping people live a life of quality by making simple, reasonable and sustainable habit changes in the areas of nutrition, movement and stress management.

She has learned over the years that people need to learn how their bodies work in regard to stress and to implement very simple ways to combat this stress, which is often pushed aside while other health issues are addressed.

“Ninety-six percent of behavior occurs out of habit, either unconsciously or in reaction to external elements,” Sodini said. “People can take control and make lasting changes in their lives when they are taught how to do it.”

Her company, Habitual Health by Jill, was formed after working many years for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in a variety of roles, such as clinical preventionist, worksite wellness consultant, and dedicated consumer engagement consultant.

Sodini has a B.S. in health management with a minor in psychology from Duquesne University. Her first position after graduation was working with the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease, which led her to obtain her health coach certification from the Health Coach Institute. She additionally has certifications in mindfulness fundamentals and mindfulness communications.

“We know that making drastic changes in one’s lifestyle doesn’t work and isn’t sustainable,” Sodini pointed out. “I teach people how to implement small, manageable steps to see success.”

An author and CBD consultant, she will be speaking on “CBD 101” from 7 to 8:15 p.m. May 8 at the South Fayette Township Library.

She is establishing relationships with several companies to assist them with corporate wellness initiatives. Plans include continued private health coaching, writing more health-related articles, hosting workshops, and making more group presentations.
