Midway through Chartiers Valley High School Spirit Week, a substantial number of people from Colt Country gathered for what turned out to be an especially festive occasion.

The Homecoming Carnival took place Oct. 12 outside the school during a cooperatively warm afternoon and early evening, allowing guests to enjoy themselves as they visited a wide array of booths offering a games, activities, food and beverages.

Plenty of youngsters from Chartiers Valley’s primary, intermediate and middle schools joined in the fun, taking advantage of opportunities to win prizes in competitions presented by various high school organizations.

Some of the groups offered artistic endeavors such as face painting and henna tattooing, and other took care of providing munchies and drinks to help keep everyone happy in that regard.

In football, the Colts are scheduled to host Montour on Friday, and the week’s festivities conclude with a Homecoming Dance on Saturday.
