Thanksgiving Day open house
Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will have its annual free Thanksgiving dinner. However, all dinners are takeout only because of the pandemic. Thoms Run Road work complete
Traffic patterns have returned to normal on Thoms Run Road between Forsythe Road and Dutch Hill Road in Collier Township, according to a news release from the Allegheny County Department of Public Works. Crews had been installing guide rail and high-friction surface treatment on that section of road since Oct. 15, requiring short stoppages in work zones.
Next spring, crews will replace a culvert and close Thoms Run Road near Forsythe Road and Prestley Road. Public Works will announce the exact start date for that closure nearer to when it is expected to begin.
Glass recycling
PRC’s traveling glass recycling bin will be at the South Fayette Township Municipal Building, 515 Millers Run Road, Nov. 28-Dec. 3. All colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs will be accepted. The following items will not be accepted: cut glass, glass bakeware, mirrors, porcelain and ceramics, stemware, light bulbs, televisions and window glass. The location is under video surveillance. Women’s Business Network
Part networking group, part educational group, WBN provides each member with the tools to be successful while expanding her circle of influence and marketplace. All professional women are welcome to attend as a guest at the meeting for no charge.
