Cookie Walk goes virtual

St. Matrona Ladies Society of St. Peter & St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church is hosting its cookie walk virtually this year. Orders can be placed online at stmatronacookiewalk.com until Nov. 15. Cookie varieties include nut crescents, fruit-filled kolache, Hamantaschen, lady locks and other favorites.

Cookies will be picked up 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 12 at St. Peter & St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church Hall in Carnegie. Because of covid-19, there will be no in-person orders this year.

Virtual divorce workshop for women

A three-hour workshop will provide education and information on the legal, financial and emotional issues associated with divorce. The workshop will be held via video conference from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14. The workshop will arm you with the knowledge and understanding needed to navigate the divorce process. Cost is $15 per person; register by Nov. 12 to Donna at 724-493-9695. Once registered, online instructions will be emailed.

Glass recycling

PRC’s traveling glass recycling bin will be at the South Fayette Township Municipal Building, 515 Millers Run Road, Nov. 28-Dec. 3. All colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs will be accepted. The following items will not be accepted: cut glass, glass bakeware, mirrors, porcelain and ceramics, stemware, light bulbs, televisions and window glass. The location is under video surveillance. Women’s Business Network

Part networking group, part educational group, WBN provides each member with the tools to be successful while expanding her circle of influence and marketplace. All professional women are welcome to attend as a guest at the meeting for no charge. At the time of publication, many meetings are being held virtually; please check with the local chapter representative for more information.

The McMurray Chapter meets the first and third Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. at King’s Family Restaurant, 580 McClelland Road, Canonsburg, and the next meeting is Nov. 18.
