Learn to make minestrone soup, goat cheese polenta at Scott Township Public Library

Scott Township Public Library

• From 5:30 to 6:30p.m. March 16, stop by for Cooking Club, goat cheese polenta. Learn how to make this food and enjoy samples. Registration is requested.

• From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. March 17, make minestrone soup in a Mason jar and take it home or give it as a gift. The first jar is free, each additional jar is $5. Register by March 13.

• On April 18, an adult comedy show fundraiser will be held. The show is from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Scott Township Park Community Room. Tickets are $15. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring food to share with your table. Beer, wine, water and soft drinks are available with donation. There will be a 50-50 cash raffle.

• The Friends of Scott Township Public Library is seeking a new board member. The board is in particular need of an individual willing to serve as secretary. Send a letter of interest to Gina Leone, leoneg@ei network.net. This is a volunteer position.

Andrew Carnegie Free Library, Music Hall

• Celebrate Pi Day from 11 a.m. to noon March 14. Pi, a famous mathematical constant shortened to 3.14, is celebrated annually by mathematicians. At the library, the celebration is recognized with dessert pies. Join in for stories about pies and enjoy a free slice of pudding pie. This is for age 3 and up. Registration is requested.

• From 10:30 a.m. to noon March 19, learn how to complete online applications. Presented by JFCS Career Development Center, learn tips and tricks to completing online job applications more efficiently and effectively. There is no cost to attend. Registration is requested

• On March 21, beginning at 11 a.m., join in for a March Madness Uno Tournament. Anybody who likes to play Uno will love this tournament. Call 412-276-3456, ext. 11, to reserve your spot or for more information.
