Children will have a new place to play at a Bridgeville park.

The borough recently installed a playground at McLaughlin Run Park, 1250 McLaughlin Run Road.

The playground includes a new playset, rubber surface, benches, fencing, activity boards and a swing set. All activities are accessibility-friendly, said borough manager Joe Kauer.

Construction on the playground started in late fall and was completed the week of April 22. Work stopped over the winter.

Sports and Recreation Associates, of Kiski Township, was the contractor for the project.

The project cost $211,100, and a state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources grant paid for half of its cost, Kauer said. The borough’s share was paid for with capital project funds.
