One of Pittsburgh’s favorite performers, organist Paul Jacobs, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

This will be his fifth performance there, rescheduled from March 2020. A concert with Paul Jacobs is always an exciting and uplifting experience, with his superb music-making and delightful commentary.

Jacobs will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel and others.

The evening will also celebrate Jacobs’ most recent honor, the 2021 International Performer of the Year Award presented by the American Guild of Organists. It recognizes that his “fierce dedication to the organ, its importance not just as a solo instrument but also in symphonic life, and his advocacy of the necessity for culture in society have been recognized publicly over and over again.”
