The Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club donated a solar-powered picnic table that also serves as a charging station to Morgan Park. Pictured here are Paula Wills, parks and recreation director and Bill Paviol, rotary club president.

South Fayette Township’s Morgan Park is the latest beneficiary of the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club.

The club donated a $6,900 picnic table with a solar-powered charging station at Morgan Park, Sherman Street.

The table was funded by the club and the Rotary International Foundation.

It has benches, a space for a wheelchair and an umbrella-shaped shade structure with solar panels that power plugs and a wireless smartphone charging station.

Similar tables can be found at the splash pad at South Fayette’s Fairview Park.
