Scott EMS outlines new 911 call guidelines

Scott Township EMS station, which is closed to visitors, has announced new guidelines regarding calls.

No additional riders are permitted in the ambulances during transports to the hospital, unless it is a minor child that requires a parent or guardian.

Scott EMS paramedics and EMTs will handle 911 calls in the following manner:

• Paramedics and EMTs will begin questioning from a distance. They may wear goggles, masks and gloves for patient protection and their own.

• They may ask patients to wear surgical masks.

• Every ambulance is cleaned and decontaminated.
