Bridgeville property owners will see no real estate tax increase in 2026, but they will pay more for their garbage and sewage services.

The budget totals about $7.53 million and maintains a tax rate of 6.5 mills on buildings and 10 mills on land.

Owners of a property assessed at Bridgeville’s median property value of $98,800 would continue to pay about $815 per year in real estate tax.

Manager Joe Kauer confirmed the borough will pass along an Alcosan fee increase. The sewer rate for 2026 is $19.48 per 1,000 gallons and an $8.93 monthly customer service charge.

The quarterly garbage fee for 2026 is $83, an increase from $77.

The budget allots $300,000 for a road resurfacing project; a new picnic shelter at Chartiers Park, which half of it will be covered by a state grant; a new dump truck for snow removal; $15,000 for planning to improve traffic and revitalization of the north end of Washington Avenue; a new connector sidewalk on Chartiers Street; and contributions to SouthBridge EMS, the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company and the Bridgeville Public Library.

The full budget can be viewed at the borough website, bridgevilleboro.com.
