Someone who purchased a Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket at the Giant Eagle in Shaler for the Sunday, Dec. 21, drawing is $770,000 richer, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Monday.
The winning ticket was sold at the supermarket along Butler Plank Road. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling it.
The winner matched all five balls drawn: 11-20-31-36-38. The jackpot, which is subject to withholding, must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
More than 12,900 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in the drawing.
The overall chances of winning in a Cash 5 with Quick Cash game are 1 in 4.71. The chances of winning the jackpot are 1 in 962,598; the overall chances of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about 1 in 10.5.
Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets are validated.
Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket should immediately sign the ticket and contact the nearest Pennsylvania Lottery office for further instructions or call 1-800-692-7481.
The Pennsylvania Lottery also reminds players it is participating in the National Council on Problem Gambling’s annual Gift Responsibly Campaign. The campaign raises awareness that lottery products are not appropriate gifts for children and encourages responsible gifting during the holiday season.
