Chartiers Valley School Board primary results
A candidate seeking to become a new Chartiers Valley School Board member captured the most votes on both parties’ tickets in the May 16 primary, according to unofficial Allegheny County results.
Kate Drury led the fields with 2,057 Democratic votes and 1,192 Republican. She will represent each party on the November general election ballot.
Longtime incumbent Jeff Choura finished second in each primary race, garnering 1,942 Democratic votes and 1,140 Republican.
Others earning November spots for both parties were incumbent Darren G. Mariano (1,658 Democratic votes, 1,028 Republican) and Louise F. Huehn (1,658 and 989, respectively).
In the general election, incumbent Sonja P. Svihla will be on the Democratic ticket after receiving 1,846 primary votes for that party, and Ed Brosky earned a spot as a Republican with 1,028.
Not earning enough votes to run in November were incumbent Robert Kearney and Priscilla Tarr. All candidates ran as both Democrats and Republicans in the primary.
