Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey on Monday announced the city’s chief economic development officer Kyle Chintalapalli and state Rep. Sara Innamorato, D-Lawrenceville, as his appointments to the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

“I am confident that both Kyle and Rep. Innamorato bring a wealth of experience and commitment to my administration’s priority to create an equitable economy for all Pittsburghers,” Gainey said.

Chintalapalli was recently named the city’s chief economic development officer. He previously served as the chief strategy officer for the URA. Most recently, he served as vice president of business and economic development for the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance.

Prior to her election to the state House in 2018, Innamorato worked with nonprofits and government agencies on communications and policy issues, including blight reduction, sustainability and food access. In Harrisburg, she serves on the House Labor and Industry, Urban Affairs, Transportation and Finance committees. She also is co-founder and co-chair of the Welcoming Pennsylvania Caucus.
