Hampton Presbyterian

Hampton Presbyterian Church has announced its Holy Week and Easter services.

April 14 — Maundy Thursday

A potluck dinner is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. followed by Worship in the Sanctuary from 7-8:15 p.m.

People with last names beginning A-K, are asked to bring a main dish or casserole.

People with last names beginning L-Z, are asked to bring a salad or vegetable dish.

No desserts are requested. Drinks, plates, and silverware, will be provided.

April 15 — Good Friday

Prayer Vigil begins at noon and continues through Saturday, 9 a.m.

Sign-up sheet for hourly prayer blocks is in the Greeting Area.

Good Friday Evening Service

Pastor Ted and Pastor Ryan will lead the Worship Service at 7:30 p.m. with the choir.

The service will take worshipers from Communion (The Last Supper) through the Crucifixion.

Easter

There will be three in-person worship opportunities on Easter, April 17.

• 6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service located at the Firepit, at the left side, or east side, of the church and lower parking lot and just into the woods.

• 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Worship Services are in the Sanctuary.

Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church

Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church at 670 Pleasant Hills Road, Wexford, will conduct two services Easter morning.

There will be a sunrise service at 7 a.m.

The traditional Easter service will be at 10 a.m.

Perry Highway Lutheran Church

Blessing of the Athletes to be held April 23 at Perry Highway Lutheran Church.

Athletes of all ages and abilities – from backyard Frisbee players and round-the-block walkers, bike riders, and swimmers to more experienced athletes such as 5K runners, marathoners, triathletes and professionals are welcome to receive The Blessing in their endeavors and for their safety. The church is asking for a donation of a child’s bicycle helmet if possible, which will be donated to the local United Way

Participants are asked to arrive anywhere from 1 to 1:25 p.m. Parking is available in the Nextier Bank Parking lot beside the church or across the street in the UPMC Children’s Medical Center Parking Lot. Masks are required.

The Blessing will occur in the church parking lot. The Blessing will be given at 1:30 by Pastor Tara Lynn.

The church is located at 11403 Perry Highway, Wexford. Directions are available at the church website Phlc.org. The first 50 athletes will receive a gift bag.

Bakerstown UMC

Bakerstown United Methodist Church is hosting a Junque Sale, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church at 5760 William Flynn Highway in Gibsonia.

The event features a flea market and a Grab & Go Breakfast. Proceeds benefit the church’s mission projects.
