St. Alphonsus Church

St. Alphonsus Church and Blessed Francis Seelos Academy, 201 Church Road in Pine, will host a fish fry every Friday during Lent. Dine-in hours are 4:30-7:30 p.m. Takeout hours are 4:30-7 p.m.

Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and Friday March 31 will be take-0ut only due to Passion Play production.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church in Franklin Park conducts in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays; the second service is also live-streamed. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service.

A special Children’s Service is held on the last Sunday of every month.

St. Brendan’s will host a gently Used Book, CD and DVD sale on Feb. 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Baked goods and quarts of homemade soup will also be available.

Ashes will be distributed on Feb. 22, Ash Wednesday, during Eucharist services at noon and 7 p.m.

The Rev. Robin Jarrell is teaching “How Did the Bible Come to Be?” — a series of classes at 6 p.m. Thursdays via Zoom. Newcomers are welcome.

The church is at the corner of Rochester and McAleer roads in Franklin Park.
