A woman was taken to the hospital after allegedly trying to run over a man and his dog then crashing into a garage in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood Friday night, according to the city Department of Public Safety.

The woman was allegedly involved in a dispute with the man before she tried to hit him with her vehicle, police said. The dog was hit and suffered minor injuries.

When the woman tried to leave the scene she crashed into a garage on the 2600 block of Arvada Way around 7:40 p.m., according to police.

Two passengers were in her vehicle. They did not suffer serious injuries, and declined to be taken to the hospital, according to police.

The driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to face charges, police said.

Officials have not released her identity.

The city Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections was called to assess the damaged garage.
