County police seek public's help in search for suspect who shot 65-year-old man in Homestead

Allegheny County Police are seeking the public’s help in their search for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 65-year-old man in Homestead late Sunday morning.

County police were notified of a shooting in the 1100 block of West Street shortly before 11 a.m., according to authorities.

First responders found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital where he later died.

No information about the victim or other details about the shooting were released.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477 (1-833-ALL-TIPS). Callers can remain anonymous.
