Covid-19 numbers vary across Shaler Journal communities

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the Shaler Journal area have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Jan. 13, there have been 1,431 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Shaler since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The township has reported 17 deaths, and 7,086 tests have been administered to residents.

Since the pandemic began, Etna has had 168 cases (one death), Millvale has had 152 cases (one death) and Reserve has had 144 cases (two deaths).
