Wilkinsburg shooting victim identified, police seek tips from public

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday night in Wilkinsburg.

Allegheny County Police, responding to a 911 call for shots fired shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Franklin Avenue, said they found evidence of a shooting and learned that an adult male was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle where he died, according to homicide detectives.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man as Cornell P. Lee Jr., 37, of Pittsburgh.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police tip line 833-255-8477 (833-ALL-TIPS). Callers can remain anonymous.
