One person was transported to a hospital after being injured in a Monday building collapse in Munhall, authorities said.

Allegheny County dispatch said the collapse was reported around 4:15 p.m. at 501 E Ninth Ave.

It is the home of Steadfast Outreach.

Firefighters were still on scene around 6 p.m. It is unclear what caused the collapse.

The windy weather may have been a factor.

National Weather Service Pittsburgh meteorologist Jenna Lake said there was a special weather statement for high winds in the Munhall area Monday afternoon. It was issued between 2 and 3 p.m. and expired around 4:30 p.m.

Gusts were reported up to 55 mph.
