Allegheny County Police have identified a man accused of robbing a Dollar Bank in Dormont.

Angelo Koupas, 51, of Carnegie was apprehended Tuesday on two counts of robbery and one count each of theft, receiving stolen property and terroristic threats.

Charges stem from an incident at about 6:40 p.m. Aug. 28 along the 3000 block of West Liberty Avenue.

Koupas allegedly robbed the bank wearing a brown wig, a brown floppy hat and dark clothes.

Police said the robber passed a note to the teller demanding cash and that he had a bomb.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled on foot west along Texas Avenue.

Koupas’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9 before District Judge Gary Michael Zyra, online court documents show.
