Thousands of Duquesne Light customers are without power on Sunday after wires were damaged.

Crews are on site in Mt. Oliver, Allentown and the South Side Slopes, where outages are affecting about 1,500 properties, according to the utility website.

Restoration is expected between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

About 1,200 people are also without electricity in Coraopolis and the surrounding neighborhoods. Crews are en route.

According to the company website, electricity is expected to be back in those sections by about 4 p.m.
