A fire broke out early Monday in a Reserve apartment building.

Reserve Volunteer Fire Department said on Twitter that crews battled a one-alarm residential fire in the area of 1900 Mt. Troy Road.

The fire began around 4:30 a.m., Reserve Fire Chief Dave Moore said. Everyone was out of the building by the time crews arrived, he said.

“A female was taken to Mercy hospital with burns to her hands and feet by private means as we arrived,” Moore said.

There were no other injuries reported, Moore said.

Firefighters had the blaze under control within about 30 minutes, Moore said.

The fire broke out on the third floor of a three-unit apartment building, Moore said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
