Derek Reddix, 32 of East Pittsburgh was arrested Thursday by Pittsburgh police in connection with a Nov. 26 shooting in the city’s South Side.

An East Pittsburgh man has been arrested in connection with a pair of November shootings in Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Derek Reddix, 32, is charged with two counts of attempted criminal homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, being a person not to allowed to possess firearms and possession with intent to deliver.

Reddix was arrested Thursday without incident and taken to Allegheny County Jail, Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz reported.

Charges stem from shootings around 1:40 a.m. Nov. 26 near the intersection of South 17th and East Carson streets.

That day, officers responded to a shooting and found shell casings. They learned a woman had showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the back. She was listed at the time in stable condition.

Cruz said a man also suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was in critical condition that morning. Both victims arrived at a hospital by private vehicle.

Online court documents indicate bail was denied.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 21 at Pittsburgh Municipal Court before Judge Kim Berkeley Clark.
