Woodland Hills High School students will shift to remote learning Thursday and Friday after district officials cited “credible threats” and multiple fights at the school on Wednesday, according to a district letter distributed to families.

“After today’s events, we are reevaluating our safety and security protocols in regard to student discipline and communication,” Superintendent James Harris wrote in the letter.

Tribune-Review news partner WPXI reported that there were no injuries, but a student had an unrelated seizure in the cafeteria at the same time as one of the fights..

Students will not report to the building until Monday, Oct. 25. Harris said students are expected to log into their Google classrooms for synchronous instruction Thursday and Friday.

In September, fans were barred from attending a Woodland Hills-Penn Hills football game amid concerns about “unresolved feelings and emotions” after a 15-year-old was killed and another was critically wounded at a North Versailles haunted hayride attraction.
