Two adjacent homes in North Versailles were destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.

The fire on Kline Avenue near Emma Street was reported around 3:30 a.m.

An assistant fire chief told TribLive news partner WTAE that everyone got out safely, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters had to contend with the beginnings of the day’s major snowfall along with freezing conditions. Crews from several departments responded.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
