Firefighters responded to a call at Brinton Towers, a senior apartment building in Braddock Hills, shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2022.

A 60-year-old Pittsburgh man was killed in a fire Monday morning at a senior apartment building in Braddock Hills.

Kevin Prince was pronounced dead at 7:13 a.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Ten apartments were damaged in the fire at Brinton Towers, 3000 Locust Street, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.

The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m., an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher said.

Residents of Brinton Towers are age 55 or older. The fire forced more than 100 residents out of their apartments, North Braddock Fire Chief Anthony Rydzak told WPXI.

Rydzak told the station that the fire started on the third floor.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal was investigating, WPXI reported.
