The National Weather Service has issued flash flood warnings for the region, especially in the Alle-Kiski Valley, through 11:30 pm Sunday.
The areas include Vandergrift, Apollo, Lower Burrell, Harrison, Leechburg, Sarver, Freeport, North Apollo, West Leechburg, Orchard Hills, Oklahoma, East Vandergrift, Hyde Park, North Vandergrift, Crooked Creek Lake Park and North Washington.

The NWS emphasized: “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
