On this week’s episode of the Food Podcast presented by Clearview Federal Credit Union on the TribLIVE podcast network, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank highlights the ways Clearview Federal Credit Union is working to in the community to put an end to food insecurity.
“We did a team-building exercise in volunteering 2019 packing boxes and it really opened our eyes to the need for food in the communities that we serve. Really the reach of Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the communities Clearview serves are in so much alignment that it really made sense to partner with an organization that does so much good and has so much impact in Southwestern PA,” said President and CEO at Clearview Federal Credit Union Ron Celaschi.
Since then, Clearview has supported numerous programs at the Food Bank, sponsoring the Food Podcast, raising money through an annual golf outing, running a Hunger Action Month matching campaign and stepping up for a turkey distribution this Thanksgiving.
The financial institution has physically shown support as well, with staff volunteering 160 hours at the Food Bank.
“It’s really gratifying to assist our neighbors who have such a need at this time,” said Celaschi.
