Ford Motor Company is donating more than $200,000 in face masks to the city of Pittsburgh.

The masks, more than 490,000 of them, will be distributed after city council votes to accept them Tuesday.

They will be added to the city Department of Public Safety’s stock and will be distributed to employees as needed, according to a news release.

Ford worked with its self-driving technology partner, Pittsburgh-based Argo AI, to coordinate the delivery of the masks, according to the release.
